Default how much of a change am i looking at with a new rear and gear

right now im running a 1/8th mile track. best time so far is a 7.3 at 94 mph with a 1.6 60' this right now is with the stock rear with a 2.73 rear gear. im gonna switch to a MWC 9" with a 3.70 or 3.80 gear. my question is what kind of improvement am i looking at considering it hooks?

im looking to get into the 6.50 index racing they do and just want to see how close i will be at this point.

I heard stalled autos don't pick up huge from gear changes, because the stall solves half the problem of a high rear ratio. You'll pick up, but not enough to get 6.50s for sure. Someone else could probably give you a lore detailed idea, I'm wanting to know myself because I'm still on.the stock 2.73 looking to go to a 4.10

You're adding a ton of parasitic drag to the driveline. That will make the gear swap a wash I'd bet.

Well a bigger rear ends main purpose is really durability. I mean you can always expect to get faster by perfecting your ratios, but you're not going to pick up much.
