Default Mini ladder bars suck!!!! My new set up

I put a 8.8 out of a 93 crown Vic it's 64 1/2 inches wide its not even a 1/2 shorter than the stock 10 bolt. So I put the mini ladder bars on it went to the track and it wheel hoped so bad I snapped a axle and it drives like **** . Now I got the IMaximum Motorsports Torque-arm suspension system.
For a mustang and its bad *** drives way better going to the track next weekend and see what it does

Thanks Hiltsy, I had found the product but I'm curious to see how it fits an f-body.

Maybe just need a custom crossmember? Then how do you adjust pinion angle?

I believe the pinion angle is adjusted by the two bolts that mount to the housing.

I think that's what all the shims are for. I looked into doing this but kind of pricey.

^This^ - If you can find a Crown Vic or Town Car with a 31-spline carrier this would be the ideal 8.8 swap. Older cars all had 28-spline from what I've found, but some newer ones had 31-spline.

Could always swap an explorer 8.8 31 spline carrier into those 8.8 housings. Im pretty sure mustang 8.8 are 2 inches narrower each side. But those brackets I used are only made for 3 inch or 3.25 in axle tubes , think mustang 8.8s are 2.75

Had the OP send me a few pictures of his setup. This is using the standard duty MM torque arm and a 28 spline 8.8 out of a Crown Vic on a 01 Camaro.

This is my thinking as well. Maybe even offset it and use the factory torque arm location. Here's another one used in RX7 8.8 solid axle swap.
