Default 02 SS optional Auburn differential??

I'm looking into buying a complete 3.42 rearend to replace my 2.73s. I have found two at decent prices, one has the zexel torsen diff., the other is out of a 02 SS with the optional Auburn diff. Is the Auburn going to be any stronger or better?? The price difference is $100.00 more for the 02 SS rear and it has 14k miles compared to 48k on the Torsen diff. Any advantage to spending the extra money for the SS rear?? Suggestions or comments please??
Thanks Floyd

The auburn should have an aluminum cover, other then that (and the mileage) its up to you. My car has the optional SLP 900.00 auburn/cover and I really didnt get any more for it then a regular torsen when I sold it.

If you want the fancy looking aluminum cover and a low mileage unit I would spend the extra 100.00..
