I did a 1.89 60" in a bolt-on M6 car. 245 Nitto 555r DR. with full rear suspension. Slipping the clutch at 3500rpm.

how long did those 7.5 rears last after the 1 good launch ? a 1.7 60 ft is great with these stock rears ,but frak a rear or U-joint ,and it can add up .

See the first post. It's listed with best without issue and worst with issues for both A4 and M6.

Some have gone hundreds off passes under 1.8 on the Auto. Manuals have no such luck. But, breaking an axle with a 60' time over 1.9 seconds seems to be the exception and not the rule. I'm sure technique can get an M6 to match an A4, but it would be difficult and likely would take more axles than the effort to nail it.

Forgot to mention I'm on a 4.11 gear with a girdle. But other than that stock. I have zero plans of upgrading the rear at the moment. Im hoping to get the car mid to low 12's on that rear. I have 15x8 race stars I'm going to put a 275/60 nitro 555r on it and let it eat at the track lol. I have a few buddies with stock rears laying around so. lol.

1.52 60' time, 100% stock 3.23 rear with ~92k, SS4000, 275/40/17 MT DR's, less than 20 passes in the low 1.50's, less than 50 total launches at the track. No noise yet.

1.46, torsen diff, motive 3.73, solid pinion spacer, LPW ultimate girdle with braces, tubes not welded, 3500 race weight, 275/60/15 MTs, countless motor passes in the 1.5s, at least 15 passes in the 1.4s on nitrous progressed, times in sig.

Thanks everyone. List Updated!

Looks like these rears stock can handle quite a bit of abuse especially behind the auto! Those Girdles seem to be worth every penny. Hitting Sub 1.5 60' and 10 seconds on the tiny 7.5" may be the exception, but with good parts absolutely possible.

Thanks guys!

Update, she's got a growl to it now. Low pitch, same noise on acceleration or coasting. Hopefully it's just one of the axle bearing I got from Moser, easily replaceable.

Someone give this man a cookie! That's good news for those that want to stick with GM's stock offering. 9's is certainly an exeption, but 12's maybe even 11's are absolutely possible on the stock unit.

Yes, and is TOTALLY contrary to those who claim that these HAVE TO grenade on the very first launch on street tires, pure stock power levels, greasy track, or even on the street.

I have to check my slips to see if I did any better but I know I've done st least a 1.86 60' on nitto 555r's with an M6 and 4.10's. Plenty of 1.8XX 60' passes tho.
