MWC Fab 9 is here!!
My Fab 9 came in today and I couldn't be more happy. The quality is amazing and it was packaged very well in the crate for shipping. Would like to say thanks to the guys at MidWest for all the help so far. I'm hoping to install it sometime next week.

Yeah I ordered it in December. But they have been waiting on me to sendthem my backing plates for a few months now. I was trying to decide on if I wanted drag brakes or not plus I been so busy with work I never got around to sending them in. I decided to not get the brakes and use that money for something else.

Nice! I took my axles to a machine shop yesterday and the guy put the abs ring and adapter together and pressed it on upside down . He then called me to come in and help figure out why it wasn't going together like it should and I had to point that out to him. I'm starting to wish that I had mwc put it together instead like yours. I just can't win.

Me and a buddy installed the rear yesterday. Everything went good. Took it for the first heat cycle. Gonna try and finish up the rest of the heat cycles today.

How long are you letting it cool between cycles? I live in a podunk town of about 90 people, I'm going to have to make quite a few laps to get mine broke in
And as I'm typing this, mwc called to tell me it's getting ready for shipping!

On the sheet that MWC sent with it says a minimum of an hour cool down. But I just let it set over night after the first one and prolly do two hour cool down for the rest just to be safe

lcfdvette,
I don't know how hard you drive your car, but I'd recommend moving the axle tube vent up higher. What I used is a 90* 1/8" npt/-4AN fitting then attached a -4AN female/ barbed fitting. Then run a length -4AN or 1/4" ID oil/fuel line hose up to the fuel filler neck and attach a small K&N(or similar) filter to the end of the hose, or you can insert the MWC vent/filter and wire tied the Hose to the fuel filler neck that's behind the removable panel in the DS wheel well. This will totally prevent ANY gear oil from leaking all over the axle tube and help prevent the vent from getting plugged up with debris which will eventually cause a leak around the axle tube ends. Yeah, it sounds overkill but I've read one to many threads over the yrs where someone had has issues with gear oil leaking out the vent fitting and/or it gets plugged up and leaks elsewhere. To date, I haven't had 1 drop of gear oil leak out the vent or anywhere else.
BTW, clock the 90* fitting with the vent outlet pointed mainly at center section housing, but slightly forward in the two O-clock to three O-clock position range (when viewed from above) .
Here's a parts list for the fittings:
-AN to NPT Adapter Fitting.

-AN to Hose Barb fitting.

-4AN or 1/4" ID Hose length is in the 12-18" range.
