It is a spool. And it has 3.90 gears. Are those a good ratio for daily driver? I was considering changing out the spool since it is my daily but was told that it wont be that bad on street tires since they are a harder tread than the soft tread of a strip tire.

Ditch the spool for a tru-trac (LSD) or locker if you plan on daily driving this in a fair amount of city type driving. Those tight turns will squeal your rear every time and making a U-turn on the throttle becomes dangerous. It'll kill your tires in short order regardless of type.

Jump on the deal, get a tru-trak and sell the spool. At least that's what I'd do. If I had $1K right now I'd be PMing you for his number....

Thanks for all of the great info guys, we are doing it this week sometime. If something falls through and we dont go through with the deal ill be sure to let post here and im sure one of you guys would have some extra cash laying around.
