We have a car in our shop that is getting a complete chassis job and it came here with a stamped style Moser 9" rearend, and is now being equipped with the complete MWC rearend and full suspension package.

In order to compare somewhat apples to apples I setup a MWC housing with the same basic optional items this particular Moser rear had installed on it.

Items on Moser housing are: empty housing with all standard brackets, UMI/BMR style LCA relocation brackets, modified oem brake hose bracket(no e-brake bracket though), some sort of tow loops welded to axle tubes, BMR style sway bar brackets, NO drain or fill cap, and some transverse mounts were welded on, appeared to maybe have been the Madman style.

Items on MWC housing are: empty housing with all standard brackets(5 hole LCA relocation brackets are standard), MWC sway bar brackets, brake line clips, brake hose tabs, and e-brake cable brackets, drain plug(these are all standard items on all housings). This particular housing had our extra remote fill cap as well. I added our transverse mount brackets and a set of our tow loops to somewhat even out the options. Now... the MWC housing also had the backbrace welded on as 95% end up that way anyhow, the Moser housing did not have the brace installed.

Here's the weights taken within minutes of each other on the same scale we use for shipping:

Moser bare stamped style housing: 79.8 lbs Moser torque arm bracket: 15.2
Moser bare housing total weight ready to bolt on torque arm: 95.0 pounds

MWC fabricated bare housing with brace, ready for torque arm: 63.6 pounds

Over 30 lbs that's awesome with back brace too! The Fab9 torque arm mounts kick *** compared to the stamped housing adapter bracket & I had a UMI Torque arm its heavy!
