68-69 Galaxie 9inch into a 99 Z28 ?
I recently came across this 9inch housing with very minimal $ invested.
I believe me and my brother can cut it down and remove the old mounts and re weld new mounts for it to fit into the z28.
He is a Pipe fitter/ Welder so we will have access to welders torches plasma cutters and what not.
I believe the hard part will be figuring out how to do the Torque Arm .
Ive been looking and I can not find the Width of the rear ends on our fbody cars.
if anyone has a similar thread or build please point me in that direction.
im looking for as much info on this as I can find before we start hacking into it.
my idea right now is to find a stock 10 bolt to look at and measure from.
thanks to anyone with info or good advise

Not to rain on your parade but you can get a Moser F-body housing w/ta mount and axles/bearings for about a grand. The stock ford carrier in the galaxie rear is probably plain cast iron vs. the stronger nodular units that came in the Hi-Po cars, people post about blowing those up quite frequently. Do your research and Good Luck.
