LOL - Short answer = yes. I used the Exploder 8.8, lots of them in the boneyards. Do a search and you'll find lots of info in this section.

FYI dont buy the Mustang or the... Ranger? i think 8.8s, they have a little bit of a smaller axle, i think its about 1/8" but i cant remember.

The Exploder has 31-spline carrier & axles, the Ranger typically has 28-spline.

Yes, some late Ranger "Off Road" models have 31 spline axles and Torsen T2 diffs. I am using a Torsen dif in my Mustang that was from a Ranger, I bought a set of Strange 31 spline axles to make it work. 8.8 and 12 bolt GMs are very similar internally, they list the same bearings for them, the difference in ring gear diameter is only .075"
