I am new to the forum but I am trying to figure out what would be the best rear gear for my t/a. It currently has a 9 inch with 4.10s and a 4l80e. I want it to be higher geared but I don't want to kill it off the line since an 80 has a tall first gear

I think that answer depends on what you are doing with the car ie drag racing vs just a driver car.

also depends on engine setup.

More info would be helpful in other words hahaha

I went with 3.73's in my S60. I like it because it isn't screaming at highway speeds, but still picks up nicely. I have a th400 though, so your 4l80e will be different.
