Strange/Eaton HD Posi 33-Spline
Does anyone know what the specs are of the Strange 12-bolt Eaton HD Posi? Is it a 22-clutch, 800lbs spring setup? Or something like 16-clutch, 400lbs springs? What makes it HD? The 33-spline?
Strange's website is garbage.

Yeah I went to a strange LW steel spool. The trutrac was awesome though, smooth delivery around corners, even black marks on the street, handled the drag launches no problem.....zero complaints.

I was looking into it... problem is now it's built in China. So it's not like it used to be. The Eaton type deal is good tho.
I just really like the Strange housing. I know everyone says 9" or S60 whatever, but I don't want the weight, the parasitic loss, or to have to order a new driveshaft or hack up my torque arm to make it work.

Smart man. Everyone is so quick to jump on the s60 and 9 inch bandwagon. Truth is, you'll be fastest with a 10 bolt. Problem is it may not hold together forever. Get the lightest rear end that will hold together, and the 12 bolt fits that bill for a ton of people. I was aware the TrueTrac was made in china, but it still seems to be pretty reliable. The guys on the truck forums love them.

I don't wanna toot my own horn, but none of my 10 bolts have broken. I mean none of the about 20 I've built. Did one for a guy a while back and he sold the car, guy turbos the car and runs 9s and never changed the rear end. I think because they are being pushed to their limit, bearing tolerances are very critical.....Meaning a freshly put together 10 bolt with good gears and tight tolerances is a hell of a lot stronger then people give it credit for.

I just sold off my old 10 bolt. Been hanging onto it for a couple years. Sold it to a guy that broke his, m6 car, and he was a little nervous about breaking another. I told him don't be afraid, hell try to break it, and if it ever gives you any trouble you call me up. So yeah, I'm not a 10 bolt hater by any means.
