stroked 4.8L

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but anyway, I have been contemplating a mid engined rail buggy. I don't want to go the normal route of using some high dollar mendeola or albins transaxle, or some cobbled up Porsche transaxle using an adapter plate. Why not use factory GM parts. I was thinking it could be done using corvette drive line parts, first eliminate the torque tube, get a Camaro t56 using a combination of corvette and Camaro transmission internals, then bolt the corvette rear diff to transmission? Would this work, has this ever been done? any comment or help appreciated.
