Default How to avoid ABS light after QP 9 inch install. 3 Channel

I am looking to purchase a 9 inch for my car here soon, unless I can find a good deal on a used rear locally I'll more than likely be going with a QP 9 inch rear end, and they do not have a 3 channel option. My Formy does not have traction control so I assume its a 3 channel car ( correct? ) I do not care if I have ABS how ever I do not want to live with dash lights. Is there a way to wire in a resistor or anything to shut the dash lights off?

Open up the cluster and pull the bulb.

I was going to put black tape over my cluster where the inop light is since I did a 8.8 swap.

If you change your mind about wanting to keep your ABS we can set up our fabricated rear end to utilize it or we have the option to make it work on others as well. Don't be afraid to give us a call for a quote as you may be surprised the price differences in options you may come out ahead with us.

Once you pull out all the abs components, go into the harness that's right there under the hood where the ABS block was, pull the loom apart, pull the light green & yellow/black wires out, snip them and ground them.

I have already spoke with Midwest, while I would love to go with one of your pieces, I cannot afford a 3500 dollar rear end, Quicks come out to around 2200 shipped to my door. I am only about an hour or so north of you how ever and would love to do business, just can't swing that amount.

I see this a lot, for you to price them out at $2200 and ours at $3500 your eyes got a little big at the buffet because our housing and axle packages are inline with everyone else's non fabricated housing and axle packages minus you have the extra cost of our torque arm and crossmember that others do not have.

The fact we eliminate the factory style mounting of the torque arm is a HUGE plus an we have a crossmember for your Kooks True Duals that others do not have.

If you do go a little over budget we offer a program that is nothing more than a $500 deposit and pay as you go. This has helped hundreds get into the rear end of their dream instead of settling for something else.

This doesn't help to answer your questions and don't want to cluster this up to much but sounds like Undertow74 has given you sound advice.

Well there ain't no friggin bulbs to pull that's for damn sure. I covered the little lighted resistor with black permatex so I wouldn't have to see it. Worked great.

You mean you can't take a solder iron to it and remove it?

From my understanding they are tied together weird and removing one causes other issues in the cluster. Not worth being a guinea pig on that deal.

Good to know, I would have never thought it would be designed that way.

Is just pulled the abs fuses, and electrical taped over the mil's. My ABS actually works, but I went to 28" tires in the rear so the difference between front and rear tire size makes the abs act goofy. I have 4 ch.
