narrowed rearend help

Default narrowed rearend help

Rear is narrowerd 3ins on each side im having brake fitment issuses now. The bottom of the caliper is hitting the housing. Guys with narrowerd rearends have you ran into this?

What housing and brakes? It is hard to tell anything from the picture as to what the issue is.

Lt1 rear brakes, quick performance 9in housing, The caliper where the bolt runs through for the emergency brake is hitting the bracket on the housing.

LT brakes and narrowed housings do not work well together because of the size of the caliper. You have a couple choices, purchase Strange brakes and press off your factory backing plates to use theirs or swap to LS brakes but then your brake gap will be off.

pm sent, so the ls1 calipers will clear? any lt1 guys out there thats done this?

You need everything LS brake related to work, LS brakes go towards the front LT towards the rear.

I took that piece off mine. Not sure if I should have or not but it works without problems. I have an lt1 car.
