the cam im gonna run they told me to run a 4.86 gear with ? anyone running that gearing with a 6mt ?

How do I know If I have 7.5 or 8.5 where is It on the rear

all the third and fourth gen f-bodies had 7.5 inch 10 bolt rears... its the same rear that was used in a 4cyl s10.

ok I decided that based on the cam setup I am going to go with that I am going to run a moser 9" 4.30 gears 35 spline spool with the LCA relocation brackets and 4 channel abs/tc

So I ordered my rear through spohn. Moser 9" with 35 spline spool , 4 channel ABS/TC , fill/drain bungs, lca relocation brackets, 4.30 gears, 1/2-20 x 3" studs, stock rear brakes going back on. also got rear LCAs all their stuff is on sale for black friday-cyber monday..i saved couple hundred bucks

what gear oil should I run in this with the spool setup also I assume that I do not need friction modifier!?

Run some standard 80/90 non synthetic for break in

No need for the friction modifier with a spool

got it !

So 2 of the 3 boxes got delivered today, next one is coming weds.

Hopefully doing this sunday at my buddys shop where I used to work.

only issue is I need to get it done in a day (or at least rollable) because they need the lift for work monday.

I am actually gonna do this outside of the shop on jack stands because I cant risk tying up a lift. already dropped a 500 WHP SC mustang rear out on the ground the other day
