Default Question about pin for torsen paddle

Going to be swapping my axles/bearings/seals in a few days.

Is it best to replace the 'pin' that holds the axle paddle in place? Or some red loktite and I'm good? Also, is it the same part number from the auburn diffs to the torsen? (GM 14056196 if anyone is wondering)

I don't see a need to replace the pin unless it's damaged somehow.

You cannot purchase that pin/bolt to my knowledge so that answers that. Good luck getting it out, and no I would not recommend red locktite, blue if anything so its removeable. Of course I never actually seen one loose, on the contrary you'll be lucky to get the damn thing out. Good luck.

Default Question about pin for torsen paddle

!...?

The 12-point wrench fits the 6-point bolt head.

Bolt actually came right off... Came to learn that someone had already put a set of axle savers on the car, and when they put that pin in they didn't use any loctite.

Hopefully I'll never have to swap those out again.

Also, interestingly enough it seemed that the stock axles were beefier than the moser ones I replaced them with. metal was quite a bit thicker on the stockers.
