Default please help me identify this posi

Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out what posi this is, I think it is an Eaton but I'm not sure. And are there ways to tell if it is in good working order? Thanks

looks like an Auburn, based on the shape of the carrier window. An Eaton clutch posi would have a round window.

Thanks for the pic Firstyr, you guys are right on it being a auburn after some searching. There is a number on the diff, 504020, but I can't find any info on that product number. This is for a 8.8 build I'm gathering parts for. So far, I found this off of a stang forum, which includes new posi and new 3.73s and bearing install kit. I found brand new on americanmuscle.com Ford racing 4.10s, gear install kit, and 31 spline Ford Trac lok with carbon clutches for 650. I found some used stuff with posi and gears rebuild kits for around 430. I'm trying to decide on what direction to go. Money is the main issue right now.

that number doesn't match anything on Auburns site, but a google search with that number indicates threads for ford 8.8. I wonder if that number on that spring plate is the number for that plate. there should be a number on the case somewhere.
