Default Stock Driveshaft, Safe Enough To Have It On A Dyno

Can I use a stock drive shaft with a 9" until I can get a new one ordered. reason being is im getting a dyno/street tune and will not be able to get the new driveshaft in before then.

I rode around with a stock shaft/9 inch and it did vibrate. it ended up trashing my tail housing bushing since the yoke wasn't in the trans far enough. I would measure how far the yoke goes into the trans with the car loaded and go from there. All cars are different but with a 9inch the general rule is the shaft needs to be one inch longer.

Correct one inch longer, that is why I built my 3rd member with a long 1350 yoke.

Was your rear setup with a crush sleeve or a solid pinion spacer? If it was a solid pinion spacer you could swap out yokes.

if it's the long 1350 it should be fine. How much is the slip yoke out of the trans tail?
