Default Rear axle bearing/hub replacement

Anyone have a link to a hub/bearing replacement write up for 4th gen rear end. I tried searching and have a general idea but wondering if anyone had done a write up with pics before.
Thanks

There is no hub on the rear wheels. It is just a seal and an internal roller bearing. You drain the fluid, remove the cover, pull out the c clip for that side (id do both), remove wheel and brake assembly, pull out axles, then you need a slide hammer with an wheel bearing removal set. Yank em out, tap new ones in, reassemble.

Mate this:

to a slide hammer and they will come right out. Both can be bought from harbor freight or probably rented from the auto parts stores.

a 'axle saver bearing' shifts the axle bearing outward in the housing so that a small amount of the axle's bearing surface that wasn't contacting the OEM bearing is now used with the bearing. Good in principle, bad in application. Since the axle is shifted outward slightly, the c-clips are very difficult to re-install and impossible to remove when it comes time to disassemble rearend again.
do a search in this gears and axles forum for 'axle saver bearing'.

just for someones future reference, I found a video online with a tahoe/suburban bearing change. I assume its the same process but it cleared some things up for me.
