Default Best price on driveshaft

Just installed a strange 12-bolt into my car. who has the best price on driveshafts? Not trying to break the bank with the aluminum, the gains aren't enough for me to spend the extra cash to get it so i am fine with chromoly. Car is an 01 Trans Am with 4l60e and 12-bolt rear end.

How much HP do you make? We offer a PST Mild Steel driveshaft with our free Sonnax chromoly yoke upgrade. This package is good for around 700HP.

This steel PST is the cheapest way to go, and it comes with a forged yoke. Bob

I damn sure wouldnt spend 370 on a steel one when aluminum is only about 100 bucks more.

I get what your saying bud......I guess in the end it is worth it if you ever try to optimise your combo, cause youd be looking for things like this to help. If you never really plan on doing that then yeah it doesnt matter.

Just a street car. Not trying to break records. Just want to enjoy my car and drive it HARD from time to time without fear of breaking things and for the price difference that doesnt matter to me. 700 plus rwhp. Just want to have fun....

I want to chime in and tell you to spend the extra and get the lighter aluminum. I went cheap and got a steel shaft when I swapped my 9inch in. Now I'm trying to optimize my set up and see a bunch of rotational mass that I could have done away with for $100 more and it pisses me off. Be smart. Go lightweight

I'm not absolutely certain but it would seem rotational mass that is 1.750" from the center is not much of a place to worry with weight. I would rather spend the additional money for lighter wheels or rotors in spite of their rpm being about 1/4 of the driveshaft. No, I'm not attempting to argue, just My 2 cents.

Rotational mass is mass your engine has to turn, and move. Its a win win going aluminum. Im a firm believe youll be less likely to have vibes with aluminum also.

my aluminum shaft is way lighter than my stock steel , plus stock steel had all that rusty crusty which may throw shaft out of balance over time. between less mass for shaft & my aftermarket stall being 20 pounds lighter i hope the result is increased performance.

i build drive shafts for a living. trust me there is a noticeable difference between aluminum and steel....aluminum has a higher critical speed (less vibrations).

Im building a 3.5" aluminum with sonnax forged slip yoke for myself with 1350 u-joints. and I can have what ever I want...chromoly, steal, carbon fiber...
