Default 1000+ hp driveshaft

Have a rpm t56 magnum with a 31 spline mainshaft.

Read about a few people ruining mainshafts due to weak 31 spline yokes so with that said anyone have any recommendations of who to go to? I looked around alittle but have yet to find anyone.

Plenty of vendors say for high hp and heavy vehicles but no hp rating.

Last thing I wanna do is ruin a mainshaft on a shinny new trans

With U1669 option
With Spicer U-joint upgrade (pair)

Either of the above two driveshafts will handle the power. Bob

There is a ton of options in driveshafts. What you have to look out for is the 3.5 and bigger may not fit in many different manufactures driveshaft safety loops. We can fit a 3.5 drivehaft in our safety loop no problem.

Here is a couple choices from us Midwest Chassis Online Store, but if you want more indepth help feel free to call us at (309)382-6252 and we can discuss many different options.

I agree, that's why I recommended that option. Bob

I didn't realize the 3.5" chromoly shaft could handle over 1,200 HP. And thats for a drag car, lots of stress. I assume me being a 100% street car with 1,000 RWHP, no hard launches ever at a drag track, this shaft should never break.
I was going to spend over $1,000 in a carbon fiber shaft....this chromoly shaft is half the price.

A 3.5" chromoly shaft can indeed handle a lot of power. You put a lot of miles on that stroker, wow!! Bob

Yup, that was the last engine out the door of Agostino Racing Engines before the big break up with everyone there. Dave DiLuca promised me a perfectly built stroker engine. He was right....

All I need now is to find a way to make a rear DS loop so if it does break in the wrong spot my car doesn't get catapulted into the air......then I will go chromoly instead of carbon fiber.

That is awesome! A lot of saftety loops work with a 3.5" shaft with a little finessing. Bob

I have a forward loop on my new BMR tunnel mount Torque Arm. Who makes a REAR loop?

You can normally make something like this one work out. Bob

Those don't really say... I see you offer the "strange forged" as an upgrade. Is that their baddest one? The $200 one?

I like Mark Williams myself...

I'm sorry, if you click on that link and go to the options you'll see U1669 is one of the Strange Forged Yokes. It is indeed their strongest one, it is their Severe Duty Chrome Moly. Thanks! Bob

Will that fit a 3.5" shaft?

Do you know how wide it is?

I don't recall how wide it is. A 3.5" driveshaft is .25 wider on the sides, if this loop is tight it won't take much to modify it to fit. It gives you a good starting point. Bob

Cool...if I go chromoly instead of carbon fiber I'll definitely get one and have my friend make it work in the rear area of the shaft.....

Thanks.
