Unable to remove axles - mini spool

Default Unable to remove axles - mini spool
I have a 1970 Chevelle with a 10 bolt.. previous owner installed a mini spool locker. I removed the pin and blocks and saw that there were no C-clips installed. The axles will not slide out at all.. Anything I am missing?

Cancel that.. I guess the guy that had it before me installed these to hold the axle in. Not sure what they are called, never seen them lol I'm used to the typical C-clip setup.

'C-clip eliminators',much safer than c-clips in case of a broken axle.
