Hello,

I have an 02Z06 making 611/532 at the wheels. I am looking to swap gears, as the car has 4.10's and it is too much gear. I know I can go back to the stock 3.42s.

I am wondering about other options, such as 3.15, 2.73, etc.?

The car is only driven on the street and is never raced at a road track or drag strip. Goal is to be fast from roll at freeway speeds. I also want 1st and 2nd to be useful with the gear change (understanding my tires choice plays a major roll in traction as well).

I think going back to stock ratio would be a big improvement. Need to check and see if anyone makes the lower numbered gears for that diff.

4.10s on the street aint nice. I really liked 3.23s and 3.42s in my TAs, 3.42 on the street is a great ratio. Plenty of stomp response.

4.10s here and they're fine. I also run an aggressive tire (dunno what he runs) and suspension work so that helps with traction. If i was on a street tire with his hp yeah I'd probably look elsewhere. Depends on combo and expectations really.

18's w/ 305/40/18. Could do a 305/35/18. M/T S/S tires.

Max RPM is 7k with max power at 6800. Would like 200mph in 5th if possible, but known if can do it in 3.42's?
