Curious...

Is the Strange S60 stronger than the Strange 12 bolt?

I have a Strange 12 bolt from 2002, I think 33 spline, Eaton posi.

Problem is I need to go with 3:23 gears when I do my turbo set up. My Strange 12 bolt can only go as high as 3:73 which is what I have.

I was told the S60 has 3:23 gears or other higher sets I can go with. Gear sets that are actually manufactured by Strange or other good manufacturers.

The s60 is significantly stronger than a 12 bolt. That being said, you'll likely have no issues with your 12 bolt.
Whoever told you about the gear ratios is misinformed.
Your 12 bolt is likely a 4 series carrier, if you want a higher gear you'll have to make a change to a 3 series.

The S60 is significantly stronger than the 12bolt the main issue with the S60 is the gear choices the lowest ratio you can get with the S60 is a 3.54 gear.

I called and spoke to Strange. I told them I have one of their Strange 12 bolts and I have 3:73 gears. I told them I want to go with 3:23 gears. They said they don;t make a set higher than 3:73 and they said they do not recommend using a Chinese made 3:23 gear set that he heard is being sold.

So I need to call Strange and get a series 3 carrier......then I can buy an aftermarket 3:23 gear set from a good manufacturer?

That settles that than.

Hopefully as steenH said....I can simply change to a 3 series carrier and get 3:23 gears.

Is it true.....I can just change to a 3 series carrier....then get a high quality set of 3:23 gears for my Strange 12 bolt....?

Can you give me pricing to make this happen? All parts needed to do the gear swap.

PM me or email is fine too...: are436@hotmail.com

I must do this mod for my turbo set up.

Thanks.

Yes you would have to change your differential and gear set.
