I've had a quick performance rear-end under the car for about 3 years now. If I could do it all over again, I would go with something else. The rear end it's self looks good, but I feel the mounting geometry isn't 100% spec. Also the torque arm mounting "system" is huge. It takes up a ton of space and fitting an aftermarket torque arm down there is next to impossible without cutting the floor up. The mounting system and torque arm location doesn't allow for much travel and smacks the **** outta the floor on hard bumps. Also the pinion yoke does sit in approximately the same place as factory. Not 2 inches further back like most other 9"s so that may be a reason it fits poorly. There is no way to locate it further back. Imo don't compromise. Do it once, do it right the first time.

Yes Bob , very observant! I've had several conversations about bashing and feedback with him. He must have thought I was kidding. One can read LS1Tech rules on bashing-feedback, if there's any questions or pm me.

Andy

Now lets go back to the original thread topic.

Honestly, I will give you my experienced take. You do have some solid sponsors here that are very good at what they do, I've done business with almost all of them, example: I have a PST driveshaft from Bob, a Strange 12 bolt from Carl @ CRP, and several suspension/brake components from MWC. They can provide you with everything some other retailer like Trick Chassis or QP can, and they are here supporting this site. It does kind of lean the advice towards these vendors.....Then, I guess when you have someone who continues to be negative, good vendors get tired of it, and rightfully so, I mean Im 100% sure they attempted to correct whatever the situation was. And so here we are, I dont think anyone wants to bash a non-supporting retailer, but lots won't lean towards them given the overall situation. I've never done business with QP/TC so I never comment personally on their quality/product, but I know there are people that have and there opinions are scattered here if you search.

Be honest. One conversation occurred. Not several. One. It's important to be honest about the details Andy. I broke a rule and accept that. I am now motivated to produce a very thorough review of the product in question. I will post it in the review section as requested. To the OP. Best of luck to you and your rear end selection!

Cheers.
