Default Driveshaft that can handle 550rwh? Moser 9 inch

I have a Procharged Head and Cam 2002 Firebird. I have a Moser 9 inch rear end. I still have the stock driveshaft and all stock suspension parts I have not drag raced my car yet because I'm worried about breaking the stock Driveshaft. I plan on drag racing my car with ET slicks so what driveshaft would best suit me. Also my car is my daily driver. Maybe the Denny's Nitrous Ready?

Denny's NR for a manual trans......

On a auto I'd stay with a HD 3.5" alum. shaft for the weight savings.

Yeah, I have a manual trans. so I guess the Denny's Nitrous Ready will be the best for me. How much heavier than the stock driveshaft is it? How is the drivability of the Denny's Nitrous Ready driveshaft? Thank You

Get a 3'' 4130 shaft much lighter than denny's stuff and plenty rugged ,should be able to find one for less than $300 with a yolk and 1350 solid joints. Billinsley racing hooked me up , quick service also see sponsors here.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>.......

I got a 3" Chromolly shaft from APE for $330. Haven't beat on it yet, we'll see how it holds up, though I'm a bit short of 550 out back.

Thanks for the help. To be honest I'd rather be safe than sorry, so I'm leaning towards the Denny's NR. Does the Denny's NR rob any horsepower or does it just add more weight to the car?

Denny's wont even divulge the materials their nitrious ready driveshaft is made from.
When I pressed them for an answer all they would say is that it is not chromemoly.
To me that just means its very heavy dom tube not the best material. They did admit
their shaft weighed more than chromemoly though!

I got a 3.5" aluminum driveshaft from madman. It's held my numerous 600rwhp launches, and they use the same shaft on their 1000+hp cars. It ran me about $450.

My dad ordered a Denny's NR driveshaft for his car a few months back. It's heavy as crap and he had it checked out the other day because he was having some vibration and the shaft is ovallized, about .025" out of round.

I spoke with one of the guys at mark williams about driveshafts, I told him I cut 1.3? 60' foots, and told him what the car weighed, He told me he would recommed one of there carbon fiber driveshafts. All the ProStock truck guys would run them and there driveshaft is alot longer than mine. And they are not having any problems with breakage. Plus if it ever does break instead of swinging around destroying stuff it just turns to 1000 pieces, they are pricey though about 800 bucks
