Default stronger gears

ok i have a bad carrier berring so im putting a torsen t2r unit new gears and a carrier install kit in soon my question is .. is was told i can buy some sort of stronger gears that will fit my t2r unit for my 10 bolt is this true and if so is it worth it? , and where can i find em?..... also feel free to comment on the torsen t2r unit ect....

I think any of the "race" gears will be stronger in
terms of fracture toughness, but softer (wear).
That's the usual trade.

I'm having my T-2R put in tomorrow (if the speed
shop and tech survived the hurricane and am just
going with some used GM 3.42s.

race gears because of the softer metal it is made out of wont do to well with repeated heat cycles on the street (9310) specifically...

I get my work done at the Palm Bay Chevy dealership,
they have a speed shop there for Rathman Racing's
'vettes and do other speed work too. Shop rates are
high but they stand behind the work they do. Plus I'm
only 3-5 miles from the dealer. And I've gotten on the
good side of things w/ frequent little hop-up jobs and
helping out with tuning.

I would think in Daytona you'd have more speed shops
than you could shake a bag of money at. But figuring
out who to trust is the tricky bit.
