Default loud clunking in rear..

It started last week.
A loud clunking coming from the rear that is consistent with vehicle speed.
It doesnt do it when I am accelerating, only decelerating, and is louder when I am just coasting, or leaving the clutch in. It is also louder if I am turning left-right. Like the NASCAR guys when they are warming thier tires. Hard left and hard right its louder turning left.

I thought the gear oil might be low, but there was plenty. I also thought something might be hitting the driveshaft, but nothing there either, so I'm out of ideas

Car has 19k on it.. garage/show queen

the only thing I can think of, is we went out on a cruise and I had to park on the side of the road, where the left wheel was on the road, and the right wheel was on the grass, and the hole car was at a pretty steep angle

thanks for any info.

you need to open up the rear end. prob only way to tell unless some one w/ more experience can tell just by sound.

Its the simple things that kill ya...

After pulling the rear pan and finding nothing but a few shavings on the magnet, I took the car back out and still had the same problem. I found a smooth quiet parking lot and isolated the noise to the rear caliper.
I had took the caliper apart looking for a squeak, and figured I didnt put it back together right.

As I was going to break the lugnuts loose to pull the wheel, I noticed that 4 OF 5 lugnuts were finger loose.
Tightened them all to 90Ftlbs, and POOF! loud clunking in rear is gone!

Its a good thing breathing is automatic...

My guess here is that his problem is somewhere in the bearing/hub/brake assembly
