Default Auburn Pro question

Have any of you rebuilt an Auburn pro posi unit with the spring kit offered for them? The price of the unit seems to have gone up about 50%. That makes replacement or repair a tougher choice. I've got about 60,K on the unit,I tow and haul often and race the heck out of this truck. How well does the stock g80 hold up? I bought the truck w/open diff.
Thank for any advice. Opinions welcome.

The Auburn is not really user rebuildable as installing a bigger preload spring to make up for wear is not a good fix. This is why clutch disc based ones like the Eaton LSD make sense because they are fully end user rebuildable.
