I use mostly US Gear. A few other brands use repackaged US Gear also. Yukon Gears are a good gear, easy to set-up and quiet.

The only gears that I have installed that were not quiet were customer furnished Richmond Gear.

I put Motive 4:10's in mine and dad set them up for me one afternoon after we closed the shop and they are whisper quiet. They have been in the car 4 years and 96k miles so far along with the auburn carrier and moser shafts.

A lot depends on set up.

The Richmond gears I ran were dead silent for years (4.10).

I would like to ad that I have had a few good experiences with richmond gears also. I had 3 different sets in mustangs before my switch to f-bodys and all of those were fine.

The richmond gears we put in my f-body were put in and out 3 times with 3 different setups all recommended by richmond with no luck. My friend, a 25 year professional mechanic and I did the installs.
