Default T2R Torsen carrier

Where can I get info on this carrier? It's a fairly new piece, I think. I know Jimmyblue has one in his '02 Convert....How many other Torsen 10 bolt, 7.5" model carriers has GM used from '99-'02? Was the T2R Torsen ever used as a stock carrier in a GM vehicle over the last few years? Jimmyblue and anyone else in the know: Where are you? Thanks. WJ

T2R never came stock in anything. To my knowledge, it is a machined carrier, whereas the stock one is a cast one. Higher torque bias ratio than stock 4:1 versus 2:1 for stock.

Much more info on frrax.com, do a search.

I've been thinking about working on converting a T2 to a T2R. In discussions with Torsen I have learned that it is possible, however I would have to have one of each to be able to reverse engineer the needed conversion components. The T2 would be easy to come by, the T2R, not so easy :-(
