Default how do i figure out my ratio with taller tires?

im running a 3.23 gear right now with 26 inch tires.. so i heard thats the tru gear.. ofcourse if i run say a hoosier 27 inch to give me a lil more sidewall for hookin on the spray, then how much gear is that going to take out?? Reason i really need to know is b/c im lookin to get a ratio in between 3.42 and 3.73.. dont want a whole lot of gear on nitrous do it?

just trying to figure out what gear ill wind up with with different tire diameter/gear combos..

also may just run a bfg drag radial to keep from breakin the rear

The main thing you would need to know would be the roll out of the tire. Assuming they are both eaxctly 26 and 27 inches, then the 27" tire would need a 3.35 to keep it the same overall.
(old ratio/old tire height) x new tire height= new ratio needed

Or, it would be the same as if you went to about a 3.11 gear.
(old tire/new tire) x old ratio = new effective ratio.

I hope this all makes sense, even more I hope this is what you were asking. The 3.42 would put you really close to where you were, the 3.73 would give you more low end.
