My 60 foot time was 2.0.....My car I guess would be an m4. It is a 4 speed automatic. It has goodyear tires. I'm fixin to get falken tires, 11" inch in rear and 3.5" in the front, on weld wheels..

Is the car stock? 13.2's out of a stock 98 is pretty respectable.
If you're running an A4 (automatic 4 speed) I personally wouldn't recommend anything more than a 3.73. A 4.10 gear is a bit much for an auto car.
Personally I would suggest a converter before gears even if you are running the dreaded 2.73 gear which in your drivers side door sill will be the code GU4 if I remember correctly. A TCI SSF3500 should shave .5 sec off your ET where as a gear might be 2 tenths if you're lucky. Do a search on this site and you'll find a ton of info on torque converter gains.
If you are determined to do gears have a look in the for sale section and buy a complete rear end if you can find one local, its a lot cheaper to go that route than to buy a ring and pinion and then have it installed.
Just my 0.02

Launching!
A4 not M4. What are you other mods? 4.10's will put you where you want to be. Watch out for your rear end. 4.10's might be a little much if it is mostly stock. I'd go with 3.73's. That's a good gear for driving around and at the track, for an auto.

no more then 3.73's for an auto,i don't see why people over gear a car. tires are the best mod for your 60 foot times. i don't know what mods you have so we will do this. my buds 99z has a lid w/k&n filter,3.73's,borla catback and nittos. his best run this year was 12.77@111.1.92 60 foot. if you have the money after mods like this i'de add a 3,200 or so stall to the mix.that would bring around 12.3's. goodluck to ya.

Well the last time i seen a M4 in a camaro was our old 69 muncie 4 speed but now we have 2 more gears so that makes it a M6, that is in a 98-02 4l60, ok sorry i had to but if you have a A4, believe me going with 3:73s would be alot better for your car as far as gas milage, track times, rear end, and just drivability. Go with the 3:73s you will be happy.

At 70mph Kennedy98z28 what do you tach at cause ive always heard that with a A4 and 4:10s everyone tachs around 3200rpm. I also would like to know what do you top out at now and does you gas milage just suck or what?

With a A4 I would go with the 3.73s. 13.2 is a great time for a stock 98. That's what my car ran back in 98. I got 4.10s in my M6 now and at first I didn't like them but now I wouldn't go back. Like someone said above go for the converter first.

don't mess with the gears. Buy a torque converter instead. Something like a Yank 3600 or TCI 3500 will cut a half second of your time. It will do WAY more than gears will and they will not whine after you beat on them at the track.
Why falken tires? nitto DRs on stock rims is more than enough holding power for a 12 second car.
