How much gear lube does a 9in rear hold?

My "Moser Engineering Bolt-In Rearend Housing Information" sheets says "approximately 4 quarts" for the 9" and "approximately 3 quarts" for the 12 bolt. Just pull the check plug and fill it till it comes out.
