Default Has anyone lost an axle on a 10 bolt while racing??

I know that the C clip is a weak point in the 10 bolt, and that you can get Moser 28 spline axle's and upgraded Eaton posi (about $700 in parts), but there is no way to make a C-clip eliminator (per Moser) for this rear.

I know that there is a risk of actually loosing an axle (whole wheel/axle coming off) when aunching hard...but has anyone actually done this?

Thanks

I haven't seen an f-body lose an axle, but I have seen some other gm cars with 10 bolts loose axles at the track.

Usually, the brake caliper will hold the axle from separating from car if you break a axle at the starting line, however, if you break one at speed, almost anything can happen. Rear drum brake-equipped c-clip axle cars will sometimes spit a broken axle right out of the rear... WJ
