thunder racing sells the solid spacer you have to set your pinion first to know how much of a shim you need and get a cover weld your tubes. aftermarket axel shafts. I'm into my rear right now for: 250-gm gears and install kit, 77-cryo treat gears, 150-TA cover 260-for axels, I still need fluid. 737 total. and solid spacer when I set them in this week. no labor i work cheep

my ta cover i got a problem!

How much HP you running?

I would only buy GM bearings and races period. I bought a Ratech kit and it's garbage IMO> Spend the extra money and get all the GM parts you can. I did pinion nut, crush sleeve, pinion bearings, carrier bearings and shims. The solid spacer is a good way to go from what everyone here has said.

I have motive gears and a Richmond install kit. Shouldn't the solid spacer come with the kit? What would they use in place of the solid spacer?

I too am building my 10-bolt. I already have axles, a cover, LCA brackets and welded the tubes. I am painting it now and the gears will be going in when the paint dries.

What is up with your cover? Looks like you are ready for paint.

That will look nice. Not worth the time in my opinion, but hey some would say that me painting my rear is not worth it. Took forever to get all that rust off. Funny thing is I never drive in the snow, salt or rain (seldom). Should dress up the under carage though.

Is that the $100 kit or the $40 kit? I would really like to know this too.
