Default whats the fastes a 4 gen has run on the 10 bolt?

I ran 10's last year and shooting for low 10's this year on a stock 3.23 gear 10 bolt...anyone ever go 9's on a 10 bolt (stock gears, axles, etc) in a full weight car? Just curious.

i've heard the owner of one shop has done some 9's, but i'm not sure how long it lived! not worth taking a chance imo. if you spit an axle at 100+ mph, it could be pretty ugly!

I do know that 3:23's are stronger gears than others and an auto takes it easy in the 10 bolt. I have driven probably 250 1/8 mile passes ranging from 8.9 to 8.0 with an average 60' time of 1.8-1.9 and my stock rear has NO metal shavings. I am hoping I can avoid having to buy a rear as I don't plan on ever running faster than 11 sec in my daily driver.

I've heard of a few low 10s on a 10 bolt. I believe they where around 10.3 but I'm not sure if they where stock. If your not planning on a new rear this season I'd put alittle money into the 10 bolt. For $500 you can do a good amount that will help it survive for awhile (or atleast give you a peice of mind). I'm replacing my axles, going with a stud kit & girdle, welding the tubes, and a few other small things. Hopefully, it'll hold up to some 10.50s.
