Default 409 stroker gear question

I have a 6.0 Iron block with a stroker crank that displaces 409Ci. The motor has a ton of torque and I have traction problems already. I took the gears out today and much to my suuprise, there are 2:73's in it where I thought there would be either 3:23's or 3:42's. Now that I know what I have, I was wondering what I should do for gears. I have a set of 3:73's and 3:42's. What will would be the best?

Depends on a couple things:
1.what you plan to do with the car
2. How high can you rev your motor and where does it make power
3. How big a tire are you running

I have an all stroke 383 and run 4.11s. I still have them installed from when I had the 346. On the drag strip I trapped just under 122mph with a 26x11.5 16 et street, so I have a little rpm left. I shift at 6600. I may be changing to 3.73 since I road race and the 4.11 may have me shifting too much.
