Check ur RPO codes on ur driver side door look for the codes that start with a GU_. GU5 is 3.23, GU6 is 3.42, and GU2 is 2.73.

Are you the first owner of the car? I the answer is yes, go with the RPO code like GT Griller said. It's the most simple way.
If you bought it second hand and you think the car was modified by the previous owner, then variables come into play:
What tranny?
Rear tire size?
Speedo recalibrated?
In any case, Tally TransAm's method is the more accurate.

GU2 = 2.73
GU5 = 3.23
GU6 = 3.42
There is no code from GM for the 3.73's (for the f-body). That gear ratio has never been a factory option for the 4th gen Camaro and Firebird.
