putting a 3 channel in instead of 4 channel?

putting a 3 channel in instead of 4 channel? i have heard of people putting a 4 channel in place of a 3, but what about vice versa. i have a 4 channel, and was wondering if i can put in a 3. any help would be greatly appreciated.

as far as i know you can you just won't have traction control. just take the car to a shop and get the traction control feature removed from you pcm or blocked. im sure someone else has done this.
