rev limiter problem

Default rev limiter problem

hey guys i just installed 3.73's and every time i get on it it hits the rev limiter on first second and third y is that any body know plz let me know??

Your shift points need to be reproggrammed to allow for the new gear. The shift points are set based on mph. The new gears are throwing the speed readings off.

so how would i do that i have the hypertech but how is it i set the shift points well more like in what order do i set them any idea?

Sorry, I have not had to change shiftpoint via Hypertech. Hopefully an A4 guy can chime in. If you don't get an answer here you might try asking how to change shift points via Hypertech in the auto tranny section.

The Hypertech programmer will adjust shift points by mile per hour. In the Hypertech owner's manual it gives you the amount of engine RPM reduction based on your rear gear ratio in each transmission gear. It's a pretty simple process.
