OK are lower control arms worth it?
Well I have Zero wheel hop.
and my car isnt lowered. But people
tell me they will help me hook up at
the track. I just had new nittos installed
Wed. So I'm hoping that will help.
I'm just affraid of messing with the
suspension after what happened to my
99 SS after I lowered it, it was never the same at the track. Are they worth while?
I can hit 1.90's-1.95's now.

They didn’t help me any in the traction department, but they did get rid of my wheel hop.

Don't understand this...W/O Wheel hop, you would get better traction and better 60's.

Believe it or not, I didn’t
My car spun just as hard on street tires with wheel hop as with out, the only difference after the LCAs was that you could see that the tire was staying planted on the ground by the solid tire markings rather than the skipping that you see with wheel hop. I never got any wheel hop on DRs though...

Get em', they aren't very expensive, and when you see the difference between the new ones and stock, you should ask yourself why you haven't done it already. It reduces the flex on launch, and the stockers flex, I can flex them with my bare hands

Not sure about wheel hop since I have never had it. Bought my car and the first day I had it, it had Drag Radials on it and never had nothing else besides M/T ET DRAGS..But then again I'm cutting 1.40 60's N/A

Re: OK are lower control arms worth it?
get them. i didn't have wheel hop but after i put mine on the car feels more stable and leaves straighter. mine seems to handle just as good with LCA's no front sway bar as it did w/ stock LCA's and the sway bar

LCA's...they are a good idea if you are a HEAVILY modded A4 or any kind of modded M6.
And for 70 bucks... they are a steal.

Re: OK are lower control arms worth it?
Traction is one thing... wheel hop another.
The single most damaging thing to most stock rear ends is wheel hop.
If your car is an M6. These (LCA's)are almost mandatory.
Tire spinning is mostly due to a few factors.
a.) too hard of a tire.
b.) Poorly prepped tire.
c.) Poorly prepped launch surface.
Fix these by:
a.) Buying the softest tire you can stand.
b.) Learn how to do a burnout and how tire pressure affects your contact patch.
c.) VHT is your friend. Dirt, dust and water on the launch surface are your enemies.
Just my opinion. (YEMV)
Hammer.

John (hammer)
Thanks alot!!!
My car is a M6 My best run to date is
12.05@117.9 All I run are nitto's
at the track I have them between 18-20
seem to work the best for me.
ANd yes I can melt the tires.
But even on the nitto's I seem to spin
on easy launches. So I'm looking for something
to help me plant them.
Thanks alot!!!
