very unique vibration situation
I've checked my wheels, driveshaft, and clutch and I still have a vibration problem. It is mainly on decel. It is not the trannsmission, because I just put a th400 and the problem was still there. It vibrates usually at 65+. I have a moser rear with 4:10 gears and a steel 2 3/4" shaft. also, I tried putting an aluminum one and the problem was still there. Is there any possibility that something could be loose or binding in the rear? Another problem is it grinds really bad in reverse when I am going straight, or turning, more so when I turn. Please help guys!

do you have a body mounted T/A like the spohn?
i have a vibration on decel with my 12bolt but its not that bad
all mosers make noise on decel and with the body mounted T/A it transfers the noise to your car
make sure all the bolts are really tight and use blue locktight
after dooing this the vibration/noise went down ALOT

I have a spohn torque arm, and bolts are thread locked. I had a very bad vibration a while back because my driveshaft was too short. Would that vibration have caused something to come loose in the rear end and cause the current vibration. such as the pinion?

If the DS was too short then it could have damaged the tailshaft busing. When the DS is too short it does not fully engage the tranny output shaft, this makes the DS work as more of a lever on the tranny end. Since U-joints travel in an elliptical motion this causes vibration and wears the tailshaft bushing. If you leave it go too long it can start to work on the output shaft bearings and then further on into the tranny.
