Default How much harder will it pull?

I upgraded my 3.23 gears a year ago and went with what I thought was a set of 3.73's. Today, I found out 3.42's were mistakenly installed ... not 3.73's.

Here's the questions I have:

I felt it pull a little harder going from the 3.23's to the 3.42's. Compared to this difference, how will it feel ... going from the 3.42's to 3.73's? Will I be able to feel much of a difference?

You will notice more of a difference than you did before. I went from 3:42- 3:73 a couple of years ago. It was a decent difference. Makes 6th gear for me more useable.

DO IT!!

Good Luck!!

I felt a little difference going from 3.23's to 3.42's. I also haven't had a chance to try it out since the U/D pulley was installed yesterday. Between both the 3.73 install and the pulley install, I think it will be a noticeable difference.

Too bad they didn't put 3.73's in there that I paid for a year ago ... all this time I was thinking they were 3.73's. I'm glad they did a half-*** install 'cause I would have never known it if the bastard had not broke. And to think I was getting ready for them to service the rearend. They'd have just tightened the ring gear bolts and I would have never known I had 3.42's in there.

Anyone think it will pull a lot harder or better, or, will I not notice much difference? I haven't driven it with the U/D pulley installed and the new 3.73's yet.
