Exclamation what do I need(rearend wise) with this setup

Im about to buy a nice procharger setup, my car already has Longtube headers, full exaust system, Lid, and LS6 intake manifold...Im estimateing 425-450 rwhp and match that with rwtq when im done...

Some guys at the shop said "just replace the ring and pinion and your good(3.73 to replace the current 3.42), and keep the 10 bolt"...but a lot of you guys ive head different from...imput would be nice...You guys think I should get a 12 bolt?

oh yea im running on 295/40/18 Kumho tires in the rear

a higher gear will make you spin more with a procharger... what do you mean by what you 'need'

A friend of mine running an M6 with a factory powered car grenaded a 10 bolt on the street with street tires and a set of 4:10's. I'd get a 9". Especially running a 6 spd. jmho

If you plan to launch hard on sticky tires or DFRs and boost, look into a 12 bolt or 9". That HP level and an M6 can take out a 10 bolt easy. Going to a 3.73 will only make the rear weaker.

you can break the stock diff with stock power if you hook up..... its all a matter of traction not really power youll have a long life on the stocker with shitty tires but with nittos or sticker it wont last long

id do a 9" if money is an issue bu i think the 12 bolt is the best but a 9" would work fine just requires a little modfication i belive and wont have tcs (from what ive read)

You can keep your tcs with a 9" if you want to. The 9" can be built stronger than a 12 bolt. But it is a little heavier and a little more parasitic. But for the strength I think it's worth it.

My times are with a 10 bolt, Auburn Gear Pro series differential, 3800 TCI converter and a 28 X 9 M/T Drag Slick.

The 10 bolt seems to hold up better behind an auto. But not so well behind the 6 spd.

With shorter gears they are going to really try to climb out of that housing. Whatever you do stay away from the Richmond gears. Have been through 2 sets, using OE gears now.
