Default question about c4 vette's

hehe i'm just curious. i know with the 4th gen fbodies the rear ends stock can't take much abuse at all. is it also the same for c4 vette's? and what kind of upgrades are available for them and who makes them?

The 6-speed cars came with the Dana 44, and auto cars had the Dana 36. Both should be better than the 7.5 10-bolt. At least everything I hear and read would suggest it.

The Dana 44 in the 6 speeds is a super Dana 44 much like the Viper. Viper Gear sets will fit in the C4 Dana 44 case sometimes the case needs a little clearancing for the ring gear.

A Dana 36 can live into the 11s with an A4.
