Exclamation whats right with this 12bolt and setup

made up my mind im getting a 12 bolt over a 9"...I had made up my mind on the 3.73 but it seems that most people favor the 4.10...

This is what I want...I want a gear ratio that will put some mean torque down but I dont want to break my tires loose when I tap on the gas.

Im about to put a procharger in then ill be running around 450wrhp and around the same amount of torque. Is the 4.10 better for higher power f-bodys or is it better for mostly stock cars???
(im running on 295/40/18 Kumho's)

Also! how much more lowend torque and power will get to the rearwheels running a 4.10 over the stock, and will it severly kill my top end speed???

From what I gathered:

4.10 - NA
3.73 - FI

4.10's for a naturally aspirated engine
3.73's for a forced induction engine

really...thats intresting, ive never heard that. Im curious the reasons why that is so. Is it because FI yeilds more power/more wear and tear on the rearend or what???

You would run out of gear quicker with 4.10's and FI. That is, you could be shifting to 5th. With a 3.73, you would stay in 4th. I am assuming you have a M6.

I think 3.73 will definately be the better choice. But I expect with the procharger, you will still break the tires loose.

You'll get to the end of your power band too quick with the 4.10s. Most of the time that is the case.
