Default Strange 12 Bolt - Will DIY Assembly save $400?

Strange sells their 12-bolt housing with axles (PRG220) for $1300. A complete rear (PRG210) is $2485. It appears possible to save three to four hundred dollars by purchasing components and assembling them myself. I have the necessary tools and experience. I would appreciate comments from anyone who has pursued or considered this route.

Thanks, Gary

Tom Byrne is having a sale on Strange 12 Bolt's and they are $2,239. Something to consider.

Above a certain threshold, the local expense approval process favors minimizing incremental cost rather than total cost. In some other organizations this is known as “keeping costs under the radar”.
