Default HELP, how much fluid is this Strange 12 bolt supposed to take?

I'm changing the fluid on my Strange 12 bolt right now and thought they were only supposed to take like 2 1/2 quarts of 85W140 fluid and 2 containers of GM limited slip additive. I couldn't find a fill for the housing by looking with the car on jackstands, only the vent. So I used the drain and fill plugs on the LSW cover. Well, I'm at just over 4 quarts of new fluid now and it's STILL not running out the fill hole!!! How much is this thing supposed to take???

Someone PLEASE tell me now if I'm doing this wrong.

WHOA there big fella, you have seriously over filled it!! I couldn't find the fill on the housing either so I filled mine through the cover too. Only needs 2 quarts of fluid and the 2 bottles of GM limited slip additive and you should be fine.

LOL thanks, I was doing this after a 12 hour midnight shift and forgot until it was too late. That's what I get when I'm running on 1/2 a brain and nil sleep. After thinking about it, I remember my 10 bolt only held around 1.5 quarts, and only filled about 1/4 of the housing. So I knew I overdid it. I don't know why they don't put that fill on the cover lower so we could just use that. I can recover from this though, I'll just drain out 2 1/4 quarts and save them for next years fluid change.

Thanks for verifying

I know what fun sleep deprivation can be! I agree on the cover idea. I don't get why they put it so high either.
