Just install Detroit Locker - have problem ?

Default Just install Detroit Locker - have problem ?

@ 61k OE carrier pin elongated hole in carrier, I install new Detroit Locker useing same OE 3.23 gear, same shims , very good pattern, 0.010 back lash, no noise @ running or coast,BUT a LOT of clunk when start to move ( change from forward to reverse to forward )
ANY ONE running this locker?, have this problem ?

Did the vendor that sold you the unit inform you on the characteristics of a locker? Get used to it is all I'm gonna say.

that clunk is part of what makes having a locker . its all part of being able to put the power to the pavement.

Thanks for the replys, now have peice- of- mind , just welded axel tubes, UPS arrived with stud kit and ta cover, set of air bags, adjustable tork arm AND new set of M/T street radials
( I may be going back into this thing next week) , ran locker waaayyy back in mid 60's for about 6 years on the street behind 427 mustang, I did not remember the characteristics
